Jesse Owens State Park and Wildlife Area is a 60,000 acre outdoor recreation area built on land once strip mined for its rich coal deposits in the early 1940's. The land has since been reclaimed into an outdoorsman's paradise with 350 stocked lakes and ponds scattered throughout its beautiful landscape.
